Madison Correctional Institution is looking for an Alcohol and Drug Counselor 1 who:

  • Conduct interviews and provide engagement and supervised counseling services to clients.
  • Screen clients to determine eligibility for substance use disorder treatment services.
  • Complete assessments, treatment plans, progress notes and discharge planning with participants (documented in electronic health record).
  • Participate as an active member of the treatment team.

Schedule is Monday-Friday 8\:00 am – 4\:00 pm [Hours may vary/including late night(s)].

On record as Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant in process of achieving ‘Chemical Dependency Counselor’ credential recognized by the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board or other Ohio licensing authority with jurisdiction over professionals authorized to provide counseling services (e.g., Medical Board; Psychology Board; Nursing Board; Counselor & Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist Board); valid driver’s license.
