established operations in 2020 and has grown to collectively operate two greenhouses, two indoor
cultivation centers, two distribution hubs and 26 retail storefronts across the US, while offering
approximately 6,000 product SKUs from more than 250 emerging and established cannabis brands of

Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Corporate Controller to undertake all aspects of financial
management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, analysis of financial
data, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.
The Corporate Controller will be responsible for a variety of duties and should be comfortable taking
on additional responsibilities to support the team and round out individual skill sets. Candidates that
enjoy working at a granular level and are eager to build and create process improvements, and not just
duplicate existing practices, will find this position especially rewarding and succeed in our high-performance environment.


Key Responsibilities
• Managing all accounting functions including the supervision of the month-end and year-end close
processes, maintaining the chart of accounts, preparing account reconciliations on a timely basis,
ensuring accurate inventory and fixed asset tracking and maintaining orderly accounting file
systems and records control
• Overseeing the activities of the corporate accounting department for the accurate and timely
dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external
monthly financial statements and annual audits
• Creating and maintaining formal workflow documentation and escalation procedures to ensure
operational controls are in place while maintaining streamlined processes and a proper segregation
of duties
• Owning the daily cash management activities including disbursements, cash mobilization, capital
investments and borrowings to optimize cash flow and efficiency; prepare cash flow reports that
project cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals
• Managing the Treasury function and maintaining a strong working relationship with bank personnel
• Working closely with senior executives in the formulation of financial strategies for the
organization; monitoring ongoing performance against the objectives by identifying incipient
problems and initiating appropriate corrective action to keep the company on target
• Partnering with the Inventory, Distribution and Cultivation teams to maintain cycle counting and
year-end physical inventory processes for company-owned inventory
• Developing management reports to drive cost improvements
• Providing guidance and assuming responsibility for the financial records of the company including
financial reporting, financial planning and financial systems
• Managing and complying with local, state and federal government reporting requirements and tax
filings
• Keeping up to date with accounting developments; researching and providing recommendations
related to complex accounting issues
• Ensuring the selection, development, motivation and retention of the qualified financial
management staff to effectively carry out all functions and provide continuity of managerial and
specialized skills.
• Establishing and maintaining overhead and labor rates used in standard costs; performing
inventory valuations, including calculating inventory reserves
• Managing the year-end external audit process and tax reporting functions; providing auditors with
all supporting information requested and respond to questions on a timely basis
• Overseeing the accounting for property development and leases
• Partnering with insurance providers to ensure adequate coverage

Professional Qualifications
• Minimum of eight years of progressive accounting experience with time spent in a Controllership
role in a manufacturing environment
• BA / BS in Accounting or Finance
• CPA or CMA required
• Deep and broad accounting rigor demonstrated through mastery of accounting theory and
application of technical, complex accounting treatments
• Sage and Power BI experience a plus
• Experience with preparing consolidating financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing accounting processes and procedures including prior
work experience with standard costing methods
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end / year end close process
• Significant hands-on experience in Microsoft Excel
• Team-oriented, deadline-driven individual with strong interpersonal, organization and
communication skill
