We are in search of an Inventory Manager for our cannabis departments to add to our growing team! A successful Cannabis Inventory Manager will have strong people skills to drive a team responsible for tracking all products from inception to patients. The chosen candidate will demonstrate excellent analytical, data entry, organization, and problem-solving skills. The Inventory Manager and their team will support all cannabis departments in cultivation, production, and distribution.
Supervisory Role
- Hires and onboards the inventory team members.
- Proactively train, evaluate and motivate inventory team members.
- Responsible for the job assignments and output of the inventory team.
Requirements and Responsibilities
- Overseeing all inventory tasks related to plants, including creating, labeling, harvesting, and retiring, in the Cultivation department.
- Overseeing all inventory tasks related to inventory weight and units, including, post-harvest, processing, packaging, testing, QC, green wasting, and distributing, in the Production departments.
- Assigns Inventory team members to functional support for Cultivation, Production, or Distribution departments based on business needs.
- Manage daily stock movement, stock accuracy, cycle counts, and space optimization.
- Ensure continuous improvement in all inventory processes, and that prompt action is taken with any discrepancy reporting from internal and external partners.
- Ensure targets and deadlines are clearly understood and are being achieved by the team.
- Performing regular inventory audits and cycle counts with the Inventory team at all Cultivation and Production facilities.
- Overseeing the testing program and managing the plant and product testing program per regulations and as required by the business.
- Serves as liaison between Home Office Finance and Accounting partners and facility leadership.
- Ensuring compliance with all related regulations and SOPs to guarantee 100% Inventory accuracy in the seed-to-sale software.
- Complying with all documented security procedures and safeguarding inventory against diversion.
- Attends all required facility meetings, provides insight and feedback during team meetings, and contributes flexible work hours as the business requires.
- Ability to remain agile and composed; works well in high-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated advanced understanding of Excel
- Ability to create and produce analytical reporting as required by Leadership

Experience in inventory tracking software in a cannabis, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or related field

Proficiency in data entry and mathematical calculations
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standard operating procedures, checklists, and protocols.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in progressive inventory management role in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or cannabis environment

Working Environment:
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment can range from low to high. Temperatures in the work environment range from cold and dry to warm and humid, respective to the product processes and plant lifecycle. The work environment requires the use of PPE at all phases, and strict cleaning and cross-contamination protocols. The product and plants are agriculture goods that have the ability to produce odors that may linger, can penetrate clothing, and heighten senses.
